Area agencies on aging (AAA) were created in 1974 to help provide information and resources to better the quality of life for seniors in their homes and community. Like the name suggests, each state or even city, has their own AAA, and are beneficial in ensuring that seniors in different walks of life are each adequately catered to in their unique community. For example, the needs of a senior in Miami, Florida is most likely very different from one in Casper, Wyoming. AAAs contract with service providers in the local area to offer a plethora of services, as well as resources and information. Here is a list of some of the services and resources AAAs help to provide:
Personal care
Homemaker services
Delivered meals
Care management
Transportation
Nutritional and health education
