Find Senior Services in Tampa, Florida

At a staggering 18.5 percent, Tampa has the largest percentage of senior citizens among all major cities in the United States.  In fact, the nation's average is approximately 13%, and although this number is steadily climbing, Tampa is currently still 5.5% higher than most metro areas.  Perhaps it's the warm weather that attracts seniors to Tampa?  Or maybe it's the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico beaches glistening along the coast of Palm Harbor, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Fort de Soto Park.  Either way, for aging adults, there may be no better place to call home than Tampa, Florida!

On the left of the page you will find over 50 categories of seniors services in the greater Tampa area.  The city known as Big Guava has many wonderful options to chose when deciding on senior care and services; including over 55 assisted living facilities, 100 home care agencies, elder law attorneys specializing in estate planning and probate, strategic retirement planners who can help map out your golden years, and wonderful hospitals specializing in geriatric care such as  Tampa General Hospital, Morton Plant Hospital, and St. Joseph Hospital.

Tampa's downtown river walk offers refreshing views of the Hillsboro River, and is just blocks from The University of Tampa, the Henry B. Plant Museum, and dozens of fantastic restaurants and pubs.  For seniors looking for a pleasant afternoon, rent bikes and cruise around the Lykes Gaslight Park in Channel District, or Bayshore Boulevard in North Hyde Park.  There is also a plethora of entertainment for seniors outside of Tampa.  Rent bungalows in Gulfport, watch a spring-ball Philadelphia Philly's game at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, or even take a 90 minute drive north to take the grandchildren to Disneyland.

There are only several states in the nation packed with active 55+ retirement communities.  Florida offers some of the most stunning communities not only in the nation but in the entire world.  Furthermore, there is argument to be made that Tampa might have the most well-rounded and breathtaking communities in the entire state.  That's because up and down the gulf cost you can find communities residing on either the beach or lakeside.  Both are a dream for seniors looking spend retirement in luxury!
