Many age-specific diseases and illnesses occur when people surpass the age of 65 such as arthritis, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, among others.   One of the benefits of living in America’s 6th largest metropolitan area is having world-class healthcare at your fingertips.   Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Abington Hospital, and Christiana Hospitals are just several of the many medical centers that specialize in adult specialties.  Fox Chase Cancer Center and Eastern Regional Medical Center are two of the most renown cancer hospitals in the Northeastern United States.

Retirement affords many opportunities that we did not have while working.  Travel is one of them!  One of the greatest things about living in Philadelphia for retirees is that you don’t have to go far to experience great vacations and travel destinations.  Sure Philadelphia International Airport is in the heart of the city and is just a ticket away from a non-stop flight to all major US cities, as well as most in western Europe.   Consider this though… Atlantic City and Jersey Shore are only an hour away by car, New York City is only a two-hour bus ride away (you don’t even have to worry about parking), Boston is only a 6-hour drive north, and Washington D.C, our nation’s capital, is only a two and half hour drive south.  For retirees who want to save money but also finally see our beloved country, there is no better city in America to live than Philadelphia.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Senior Directory family and to lead the Philadelphia market. I love this city, and it is my pleasure to serve the seniors of this area by providing them with such a valuable resource.

I am a proud Philadelphia native and a graduate of Penn State University. After college, I spent time in Sarasota, Florida, caring for my Grandfather (diagnosed with COPD), while working as a Social Worker in both Infectious Disease and Epilepsy Clinics. I provided education to and connected Adults with illness to resources, such as Medication Assistance, Counseling Services, Housing Stability Services, Peer Support groups, etc. After my grandfather passed, in 2013, I moved back to Philadelphia, where my career transitioned into a Home Care setting, as Director of Home Care Services, (not to mention back to shorter days and colder winters!). I met with Seniors in their homes, awed by their stories and accomplishments. This is where the magic happened - I fell in love with the Senior Industry! I worked tirelessly with my team to build client relationships, provide the most loving and skilled caregivers, improve quality control and most importantly connect Seniors to much-needed resources in their community!

I am honored to represent the Philadelphia Senior Directory and am happy to answer any questions you may have!  We are always looking for new advertisers and distribution partners to grow our guide and ever increasing circulation. Whether it is updating current information or adding new information, we are constantly looking for ways to improve. Finally, we welcome opportunities to build lasting relationships, whether it is partnering for networking events and/or lunch and learns or supporting related causes.
