There was always at least one staff per shift that worked their tail off and were very loving and kind to my family. However, for the most part the room stayed filthy and the only way things got done was having to advocate for EVERYTHING.
There was a shortage of linens, they did not encourage my family member to be active or to take showers. There was often a shortage of medical supplies and cleaning products. It was sad to spend this kind of money and I had to ask for the room to be cleaned and linens changed every time we visited.
She ended up with just a few of her own clothes although her clothing was marked with her name.
She was often in clothes with someone else’s name on them and dirty clothes were always in the bathroom and slung across chairs.
They never offered to help her eat.
