I have had 4 strokes since 2010. My partner went to ever single rehab facility in Phoenix. Healthsouth - now called Encompass was by far the best! they supported me in working as hard as I wanted to on my recovery!
I was actually at this facility as a result of my first stroke - I was wheel-chair bound, unable to speak and I worked my way back to almost looking and performing normally. The fourth time I had move and the Scottsdale Shea location was closer where I rehabbed my other side, but I am badly disabled today, but functional. I still belong to the Stroke Support group in Scottsdale location, both to remind my self how very far I have come, in spite of the disabilities, and to be an example to others (now) ten years later.
