But our care does not stop there. Caring Companions also offers help with a variety of day-to-day duties including:

- Meal preparation
- Grocery shopping
- Pet care
- Light cleaning including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, general tidying up, laundry and the changing of bed linens
- Transportation for doctor appointments or general errands
- Medication reminders
- Playing a game or going to a movie
- Companionship

Caring Companions is locally owned and operated right here in San Antonio, and we are celebrating our 15th Anniversary this fall.  We have the lowest staff turnover of anyone in town, and our staff whole-heartedly believes in our Mission: To honor God in all we do, by helping people live with dignity in their homes. 

Caring Companions also participates in community education and support for family caregivers by facilitating the Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers support group; Compassion Fatigue for Professional Caregivers Workshop; Alzheimer's Association Educational Summit Committee; Alzheimer's Association programs such as Music and Memory, Challenging Behaviors seminars, and fundraising for research; Claude Pepper Center Community Advisory Board through UT Health; as well as individual and family consulting.
