Additional Information
A Kendal affiliate, Barclay Friends was established in 1893 to serve the needs of older persons and is governed by a Board of Directors, half of whom are members of the Religious Society of Friends, or Quakers. Settled in a quiet West Chester neighborhood in Chester County, Pa, Barclay Friends offers Residential Living, Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, Post-Acute Rehabilitation, and Respite Care.
Reflecting the Quaker concern for older people, our mission is to continuously improve care of the aging across the continuum of services we provide. We aspire to the highest professional and humanitarian standards while providing care and services in a supportive, homelike, and compassionate atmosphere.
Barclay Friends provides a spirit of inclusion for residents and staff regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, or disability, thereby supporting an environment that is welcoming to all cultures, backgrounds, and differences – one that promotes respect, acceptance, and teamwork.
